A holiday to Australia for the festive season has resulted in a Christmas Wish List that is orientated around the Summer.

First on that Christmas wish list are round SUNNIES!

There are some seriously chic shades on the market at the moment, and the three below are for sure my FAV…

Oliver Peoples Clip On’s – $TBC

Available at: Eye’Ni – 2882 2948 (G/F., 63 Lee Garden Road, Causeway Bay, H.K.)

I quite honestly never thought clip-on optical/shades could be cool – but this season the are exactly that thanks to ‘Oliver People’s’.  They’ve given us an iconic round optical frame (like I said, ’tis the season to go circular!) from their archives, reimagined in titanium to suit a more modern audience. The bridge, end piece and temples showcase an awesome intricate filigree detailing, while the eye wire is perforated in a custom pattern. These frames are beautifully lightweight and the corresponding titanium and acetate sunglass clip (AKA ‘Clip On’) is an awesome feature for any optical wearer.

Ray Ban ‘Liteforce’

Ray Ban ‘Liteforce’ – HK$1,600

Available at: The Hong Kong Optic – 3986 5100 (Shop 17, MTR Floor, iSQUARE, 63 Nathan Road, Tsimshatsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong.)

Liteforce sunnies are all about lightness & comfort.  Ray Band has fashioned these rounded frames out of a nylon fiber to give these sunnies their super light-to-wear appeal.  You’ll find the bridge of the frame sits a little flatter against the face and the ultra-fine shaped Liteforce temples flaunt a laser engraved Ray-Ban logo on monoblock hinges (yeowwww – gotta have that logo on show!) Available in matt black, blue, havana and opal-yellow as well as plain black, any style preference has their colour pick with these shades.

So for those who feel they could rock a very distinctive look which is “made for modern individuals with a taste for retro-inspired style” (say’s Ray Ban themselves) then these are for you!

This style also comes in an ‘Asian Fit’

Ray BanICONS – Round Folding HK$1,600

Available at: Optical 88 – 2113 2363 (G/F & 1/F., No. 36 Lee Garden Road, Causeway Bay, HK)

Round is back and Ray Ban is all about giving you choices in terms of just how ROUND you go this season.  My personal choice is the super iconic ‘Round Folding’ shape which features an ultra-fine metal profile and very slickly engineered folding mechanism for compact, resilient frames that you can literally fold up and stack in your purse, pocket or bag (love this feature!)  The two colours this from comes in is super versatile and includes a classic arista gold and a fine silver.  You’ve got more colour-way options when it comes to the lenses however!  These sunnies are available in gold with green, green mirror blue, brown mirror pink lenses and in silver with light green mirror silver lenses.
