Isn’t putting on cologne not so much about how you literally smell, but also the mentality of a specific energy, or spunk a person is trying to withhold? If it seems too difficult to choose a scent, how about turning your efforts in finding the right candle? It does do the same trick, where it makes you feel good, and at ease. Not only do you smell splendid, but your room will too, so it’s a plus!
This might be it. Baxter of California, a company that dedicates its efforts in men’s grooming, since the mid-sixties, has launched a new scented-soy-wax candle series “White Wood”, which are available in three new woody aromas (ingredients of each particular is stated at the end of the post).
Not only will it smell exceptionally well, its minimalistic and subtle packaging design should also be focused upon. Marc Atlam, the designer behind is an art director whom without mentioning is best as what he does, with previous clients streaming from Commes des Garcons, Helmut Lang, and iconic label Yves Saint Laurent. His design aesthetic tends towards the little details of a product, where he plays on typography to bring a bold statement, in contrast with the stark white colour of the candle itself. It is not surprising to see that the collection has recently been awarded Triple Platinum Winner by Creativity International for Retail Packaging, and (environmentally conscious) Green Packaging, all and all an important recognition.
