Shampoo 6

Happy Hair Days

I’m trying to grow my hair super SUPER long – so recently chatted to hair expert Cheri Bradish Keller about the TIPS I needed to know!…
“Cleansing should really be like your Facial Cleansing Routine!
A Shampoo will gently but very effetely cleanse the hair shaft.  A conditioner will moisturize your hair like a great facial cream moisturizes your skin.
Most Modern shampoo’s are gentle enough to use everyday”…
Now apparently we need to be following a 5 Step Shampoo and Conditioner routine!
This should take only 6 mins at the most – no more excuses for lengthy 15min showers!
-
1.)  Thoroughly drench the hair for 45 to 60 seconds before you apple the shampoo – making sure your scalp is fully drenched too.
You will need less product and washing will be easier on the hair. When you put the Shampoo on you palms of your hands rub a little to make sure you get it all over the surface of the hair and scalp.
2.)  Gently massage the head, but do not rough up the hair or for that matter if you have long hair do not pull up to the top of your head (scalp-crown area) – it only will cause tangles!
When you are GENTLY massaging the scalp with your fingertips, press gently creating a lather so the ingredients in the Shampoo can work their MAGIC!
This helps stimulate and to promote a healthy scalp. This will also help you stop from roughing up the cuticle, which leads to breakage.
3.)  Rinse and Repeat with less shampoo. You will only need to use half the second time.
Then Rinse,Rinse Rinse again.
End the routine with warm water.
Rinsing poorly will result in dull hair and a flaky scalp – caused by “soap flakes”.
Remember to always use YOUR type of shampoo!!!
Ask your Stylist or Hair Konnections... (I did and feel SO much more informed now!)
4.)   Then use your Conditioner of choice.
It important to make sure you pick the right Conditioner for your hair type!
Use the right amount of your conditioner according to the length of your hair. This should save you money!
Rub together in the palms of your hands start at the top and work thoroughly through the strands of your hair making sure the ends get the same treatment as the rest of your head.
Leave it on for at least 2 to 3 mins to penetrate the shaft-calming and closing the cuticle down.
5. Rinse thoroughly until hair is squeaky clean. Ending with a Bast of Tepid/cool water. This will stimulate the blood flow to the scalp area.. This will encourage a healthy hair growth!!
Now I have also started using the Nashi Argan Moroccan oil – which I put in while my hair is still wet and leave it in!
The result is divinely tangle-rfree hair which has a luscious natural shine to it without hanging too heavy or limp.
Try it!
I also just started brushing my wet hair with a brush with brissels that were appropriate and wont break my hair in the process!
AND – once you have your perfectly washed hair – if you don’t want to wash it the following day, use a stylishly FAB haircap called DryDivas (hehehe I LOVE this – so SO girlie and fun!)
