If you managed to get on the door list – which is open to all (that’s one fab thing about Jack Wills, there not here to tick you OFF a list, they’re here to put you ON IT!) tonight’s going to be massive – so ENJOY it!
And please do keep me posted with the party haps! TWEET ME: @HongKongStylist with your partaaaaay pics please!
And now just to give you a little lead into what to expect, besides stuffed pheasants, champagne, Fish’n'chips and plaid blazers – here’s a little look into what Jack Wills is presenting this season and how to style it…
As you should know from Previous Blogs, Jack Wills is fantastically all about English Heritage – it’s fabrics, it’s cuts, it’s quintessential style – and they once again highlight this in their S/S’12 collection.
This season, Jack Wills invited Dress Me to preview their collection and put together two looks with what can be found TONIGHT on their shop shelves.
Check out my VIDEO HERE talking about my inspirations and thoughts!
I’m always a fan of layers, textures and complementing colours!
So for my FEMALE outfit from head to toe you will find:
*
Navy Blue Blazer – A classic ‘must-have’! The navy colour choice is much softer than black & more versatile as it can be worn throughout the day without looking too overdressed.
*
Over-sized Red Knit Cardi - The perfect piece to give your preppy look a little street-chic (layering totally does this!)
*
Navy & White Striped T Shirt – Preppy and ohh so Nordic! I love the thin stripes in this T which make it super feminine!
*
Red & White elastic striped belt – FUN! I adore this belt, it brings an awesome amount of playfulness to any outfit!
*
Blue Denim cut-off short – HIT PICK! MY PICK! These absolutely HAVE to be in your wardrobe this season, trust me, they will become your weekly staple of stylishness!
*
Red and White striped socks (mid calf) – These add a little something to your outfit, it’s that one little piece that will take your outfit from looking good to looking TREND-SETTING!
*
Riding Boots – A fantastic flat that is def more city-slick than farm appropriate these days!
*
Tote Bag - Every girl needs an over-sized leather tote! It’s an investment piece that will totally transcend seasons and still be looking fab when the leather is worn in and loved!
Now for the MALES – for you I went for:
*
Checked Shirt – Jack Wills masters this type of print! I loved their Navy/Red version – classic English charm all in a shirt!
*
Pullover – Best worn over a shirt, I love the colour blocking on this pullover. They are dramatic and absolutely eye catching yet not offensive at all for something so bold – it’s the grey that pulls it down and smooths the whole look out! (LOVE IT!)
*
Mustard Khakis – YES, mustard yellow! This season make the most off the colour opportunities and wear brights! Trust me! You’ll be surprised how easy it is once they’re on and just how lush they look!
*
Striped Socks – I love a little texture by the toes! Why not have fun with your socks! It definitely makes you look like a more interesting person and can even be used in a pick up line… “Wow, Love your socks, there so… quirky!” (obviously YOU wont even need to be doing the picking up when girls are saying such lines!)
*
Brogues – A gentlemans classic and a shoes that has been big for a few seasons yet – still being a number one player this season for foot wear!
Now from here on in you’ll see famous fashion faces, trends to keep an eye out for and snippets of Jack Wills culture…
