From Editorial to EVERYDAY – I collaborated with Makeup Artist Ana Darmon of ANA MAKEUP to create two completely different beauty looks (one on a model – one on me) using a seriously dramatic lip gloss from M.A.C’s ‘VAMPIFY’ collection and a cream-based shadow pallet from the ‘Trend Forecast’ collection.

Ana’s aim was to showcase how extremely ‘editorial’ you can go with M.A.C products and just how casual you can take them at the SAME time.  So on the eyes for both the model and myself, Ana used a super bendable cream shadow 6-pallet from the ‘Trend Forecast’ collection.

’A NEW BREW’ – a rich matte terracotta red-brown was used on our editorial model, while on me Ana simplified my makeup for a more ‘everyday’ appeal by using ‘ABOUT TO SPROUT’, a warm olive green shadow.

Technique wise, Ana covered the entire eyelid right up to the brow on our model but on me, applied shadow only up to my eyelid crease, blending the product up slightly to merge it in with my natural skin colour.

And with those simple differences (colour and application) Ana created two totally different eye’s!

Now on our lips Ana used the same lip gloss ‘VAMPIFY’ (just different colours) on us both and it’s amazing!  It is as high powered as it is pigmented!  It slides on strong giving a dense glisten and full-on shine to your lips.

On the model, Ana paired the full terracotta eyeshadow with an extreme red, vibing 80’s makeup and going daringly bold.  For me, she kept the look on the more subtle side of beauty by matching in a light pink to the olive green eye’s she gave me.

Now just a quick hint… absolutely no lipstick is needed under this gloss Ladies!  But if you are wanting to make sure slippage does not occurs then I highly recommend lining your lips before using the ‘VAMPIFY’ colours.
