Massimo Dutti Spring Summer Lookbook

I’m a stylist, yes.  I have a distinctly ‘me’ way of dressing which I concentrate on NOT compromising with just any old passing fashion trend.  This works wonders for my bank account (I never spend on 20sec-wonders), but it is sometimes a hard stance to take as there seems just as much ‘trend-pollution’ on our Hong Kong streets as there is ‘light-pollution’ in our starless Hong Kong sky!

(if you haven’t read my STYLE PERSONALITY series yet, you must do! It’s the fastest way to identify your own dress sense amongst the sometimes overwhelming array of fashionable offerings!)

Sometimes, by-passing the trends, it keeps you not only true to your self-image BUT simple and fuss-free, which can also be the most awe inspiring and classiest ways to dress – there’s not always a need to over-do it!  Think ‘classic’!

Take note of the simplicity in the fashion spread below.
The combination of two or three key pieces makes this way of dressing not only an easy one to recreate at home, but it allows you to be comfortably simplistic.  It’s classy, it’s classic, it’s soft yet ironically has a strong presence of assured fashionability.

Never be afraid of keeping your look low-key!
Trends are passing events – style is where your effort should go as it transcends any trend!
