Owner of Aistyles
Cheris is an on-line Fashionista that strictly operates in the virtual world of the web – a domain no longer ruled by teenagers and their obsession for ‘War Craft’ on-line games – but by modern business operators who seek a more extreme and edgy way of managing the global recognition of their brands.
www.aistyles.com is a fashion store with a twist – Cheris’s boutique can be found when searching .com as apposed to street maps and her website sees the love and care that any touchable store would – however, instead of cleaning dust, she cleans spam and instead of re-arranging shelves, she re-arranges computer code. She operates in a realm where quite literally world-wide customers are at her fingertips – a tap of a key-board button gives her access to practically any destination!
With her focus currently on Asia – Cheris offers beauty and Fashion products EXCLUSIVELY on her site – keeping true to her favourite piece of fashion advice: “Less is more”! She has limited numbers of stock so that you’ll never be caught strutting the same glamour gown as the woman sitting in the next table. She also offers them world-wide – so you might have a stylish aistyle wearing sister in New Zealand and never know it!
Presenting you with the option to shop for your entire seasonal wardrobe – Cheris not only showcases a number of fashion designers, but jewellery, bag and beauty products! Cheris covers all your needs on the single site, which saves serious fashion fatigue after ploughing the malls for what you want and instead allows you the luxury of checking the latest Facebook updates while you place your order for any number of aistyles hot pieces!

Armed with an impressive list of much loved muses (Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton, Annie Liebovitz & John Rankin Waddell) Hong Kong Photographer, Michael Loh, operates from a contemporary viewpoint – willing to test traditional photography methods, he not only admires the cutting edge and ultra modern celebrity status photographers, but moves in a similar direction.
With a notable photographic education from NYIP (New York Institute of Photography) as well as being both a trained AND published “Fantasy Artist”, Michael Loh shoots from an unusual angle. He captures the moment with sincerity and thrives in the story-telling process. However, his observations are often filtered through digital computer techniques in order to accomplish a mixed-media overall photographic tone.
Michael operates as a part-time photographer by day, surrounding himself with artistically in-sync groups by the likes of The HK Photography Club and as of recent, The HK Strobists club. By night he works full time with Hewlett Packard (20years) as a Project Manager.

The near-mannequins with their perfect pouts and flawless features pose as ideal models for which to practice the fine art of make up application. Plus their swelled personalities, matching their lips, also prepare one for the many ‘personalities’ met when dealing with celebrities, models and the likes…
All of which Kat Chan is not only acquainted, but has worked along side – Margaret Kimura and Simon White, photographer Patricia De La Rosa – just to drop a few.
While living in the city where movies are made on your back-door and celebs can be seen sipping frappachinos, lounging in Jimmy Choo ballet flats and sporting Juicy Couture jumpsuits, Kat Chan, armed with a blush brush and array of foundations, studied at MKC Beauty Academy – graduating from a master program in fashion beauty and print make-up.
With a philosophy that make-up holds no certain rules – she’s a creator.
She’s also a beautifier.
Whether it be you or me or models or even men – Kat’s adaptability is notable and her ability to portray the person who sits in front of her mass amount of make-up in the most outstanding manner is delightful.

So tell me… When and where did your photography ambition start?
My ambition to pursue photography professionally really started when I was living in Vietnam – it is such a photogenic place with beautiful people. I have always enjoyed creating art of any kind, and photography is great way to share that with others.
Are you self-taught or did you study? If so where?
My formal education is in graphic and exhibit design, which I took in Alberta, Canada. Years later I went on to study photography in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. One of the great things about photography is that there is always more to learn and explore; I am constantly searching for ways to expand my skills.
Where has photography taken you so far (countries, stand out events…)?
Photography has taken me to many incredible places, from faces in Mekong Delta villages, to a small island off the coast of Vietnam, from wooden fences in southern Alberta farms, to photographing Hong Kong celebrities. My favorite thing is the unique way that I get to see people. Whenever I do a photo shoot, whether it is a family, an engagement, or whatever, I feel like I get to see the people I am photographing and their relationships with each other in a way that nobody else does.
What do you specialize in?
I love photographing anything that inspires me (which is actually most things), however I specialize in photographing people, and capturing them in a sincere moment. My favorite photos are the ones in which I have captured an expression that really shows who somebody is.
Darren is currently based in Hong Kong and is a full-time Photographer for FACT PHOTOGRAPHY
