* Get rid of anything big and baggy!
These items will only enhance your size by adding bulk and making you appear more frumpish than fabulous!
Opt instead for layering items. Show your belly off with a slim, fitted Tshirt and slip a stretch-knit cardi over top or matched with your favorite jacket to emphasize the features that aren’t expanding!

* A monochromatic look is going to lengthen and slim you down visually.
Head to toe black is an elegant winner for the evenings, and with a touch of this seasons yellow (or neon) in the form of a clutch or a statement necklace, you will look seasonally on-key and still streamlined.
Black is also a good option for the maternity wardrobe as it shows less wear and tear.
Considering just how much you’ll be wearing your maternity garments over the next few months, quality, not quantity is important!

* Forget the Wonderbra
Pregnancy gives you the best reason to flaunt your new natural assets, so take advantage of this fortuitous occasion and wear scoop-neck T-shirts or sweaters.
* Belt up! Belts can add a fantastic ‘pop’ to any mundane wardrobe. Worn either below your belly with a flowing maxi dress, or just under your bust to showcase both your growing belly and your decolletage – there are many ways to style an outfit using this must-have accessory

* Comfort is going to rein over style – but that does not mean you can’t have both!
Look for skinny jeans and leggings from maternity collections that will offer a huge amount of flexibility and, and which look desirably lush when paired with baby-doll cut tops and kaftan inspired garments.

If you’re on your way to becoming a new mother, concentrate on buying from appropriate collections as opposed to squeezing into clothing lines that are made for the pre/post pregnancy woman.
