One of the percs of working as a blogger is meeting the talent behind the big brands!

Sometimes it’s easy to get lost in the glam of it all as a consumer and forget that it’s usually an individual with a fashionable vision and fierce dedication behind it all!
Meeting the designers is a fantastic burst of reality and a way to really see the brand for what it is – a person/team with incredible energy and focus!

Mr Angus Logan (featured above), the son of Jan Logan, who now is the front man for what started as his mother jewellery venture, was in HK not too long ago for the launch of their latest Amelie Collection, inspired by the enchanting French film Amelie – held at the Jan Logan IFC Mall boutique.

Angus is an Australian (close to home for me!) with a real down-to-earth sense of what it takes to create a luxury item and brand it in a way that insures its mark among the many brands that saturate the buyers market – now that’s talent that will, for years ahead, be a recognizable lux jewellery brand!

Jan Logan is a classic brand that I’ve previously worked with on shoots and which,  far too often, I’ve let my head linger too long looking through the window displays when walking past the IFC store (not that my fiancé has taken the hint yet… to subtle do you think!?)
So I’m a fan (especially of the pearl set that I’ve photographed and featured numerous times in this blog!) – but I have to say I am even MORE of a fan after meeting the man behind Jan Logan’s current drive – its always a pleasure getting to know the essence of a brand – which is always the people behind the gloss and hype!
