In the words of TOM FORD…

I love that re-defining quote about luxury in beauty – I want to BE that vision of modern glamour and there’s no better place to painting that concept onto your face than at the cosmetic collections of TOM FORD (At the Lane Crawford counter to be exact!)

This summer you’ll only need a few key cosmetics in your kit to create a radiant look – and one that won’t sweat off in the heat:

– The Moisturecore Lip Colour in Cala Di Volpe HK$430

– Tom Ford Cream Cheek Color in Pink Sand HK$520

–  Cream and Powder Eye Shadow HK $520

Presented in lacquered white packaging, perfectly suited for a fresh Summer all these products have the advantage of being both perfect when applied straight on the skin (for a light, dewy, natural effect) or over top foundation for a more dramatic colour.

The Moisturecore Lip Colour (I use the natural tone ‘Cala Di Volpe’ as an every day lippy) is an awesomely sheer formula which is perfect for that #Iwokeuplikethis no-make-up makeup look.  It is a dual lipstick which encases an inner core of passion fruit oil (how suited to Summer days is THAT!) with an outer layer of luminous, shimmery lip colour – the combination of both giving great amounts of hydration to your lips.

‘Cala Di Volpe’, as with all the lipsticks in this collection has a slight shimmer to it thanks to that inner passionfruit core – but is so super fine that it’s not noticeable as a textural element but instead adds to the overall luminous sheen.  Yummy!

Now the Cream Cheek Color in Pink Sand I love for the fact that it is so beautifully bendable, on primed or natural skin (I actually think it works best on bare skin!).  It is a hell of a pink tone in the packaging, but on the skin, finishes as a light-medium pink with subtle warm undertones and a super fine gold shimmer.  It never actually fully dries down/sets so it always leaves a sheen on the skin (simply use a dash of translucent powder if you want it to set a little more).

Now I personally think this particular colour works beautifully on fairer skin tones, adding a nice flush of colour and lasts so so long – making it a great product for long days that merge into the evening!

Lastely, the Cream and Powder Eye Shadow!

This duo stack is fierce when it comes to colour-payoff!  The cream formula doesn’t crease or move and makes for a stunning base for the powdered shadow – which depending on your mood you can use overtop, or not!

The shimmer powder does however set the cream perfectly and adds an additional lustre – an incandescent eye that can be worn for both a day or equally a night look.
