TREND SETTER – Whats your style!!?

Trend Setter – Characteristics:

“I am fearless; I am an individual”

A true fashionista you channel celebrities, magazines and designers like it’s religion and aren’t not scared to drop one for the other depending on what the latest fad is.

The flavor of the month is important to you and you often justify spending a small fortune on downing yourself in ‘must-have-items’. A distant cousin of the classic woman, you err on the side of expensive when shopping, purchasing innovative and ultra modern styles, typically in black. Bold and fearless these fashion forward women make no apologies for their risk-taking approach to style.

Interpreting the runways with ease you are a walking billboard for what’s ‘in’.

Trend Setter – Closet:

Picture perfect and straight out of Fashion editorials, you have your ear firmly pressed to the fashionable in’s and outs and adapt accordingly.

A sneak peek into your closet reveals clothing and accessories that scream trend and are available NOW in stores. Wearing the most popular colours, prints and styles an outfit is never complete without the works (shoes, handbag and jewelry on top of your model worth attire!) Value however, takes a backseat and investment dressing is not for you. You’ll attend a good sale but are more likely to be seen at a boutique fashion launch viewing the latest of catwalk trends. The idea of wearing an item of classic tailored clothing purchased several years ago is foreign to your fashion sensibility.

Trend Setter – Work and Play:

Unless you work in fashion or entertainment – your style may not be the most appropriate for the more conservative workplace. Gaining industry respect comes from being recognized as a part of the common cause – turn up in the latest John Paul Gaultier dress to a corporate morning meeting and you’ll be seen to take your wardrobe more seriously than the matter at hand. Dress to impress, yes! But do so in a manner that reflects your surroundings. When it comes to play, you’re a true expression of the times and the trends that reflect it!

Fashionable to say the least, play time is your red carpet and you know how to strut!

Trend Setter – Shopping:

Budget means little when it comes to you and shopping and you tend to spend more than most on your attire. You love it all – bags, shoes, accessories, statement pieces – and would have it all if the bank account didn’t insist otherwise. Shopping where a selection is granted you search high and low to attain the seasons ‘must-haves’.

A tip: try bargain shopping at places like H&M where designers by the likes of Alexander McQueen and Sonjia Rakel design affordable pieces.

Trend Setter – Change: Don’t hinder your career via your love for celebrity fashion! While they can afford to wear whatever they choose when flouncing from one film set to the next, you can’t!

Save yourself from inappropriate displays of fashionista inspired apparel in the workplace by simply adding some neutrals! A few basic pieces will give you the freedom to mix and match in a manner that wont cause the rumor that you haven’t been home from last nights club opening to circulate. Basics – neutrals – buy them!

Window shopping – although probably not your preferred method of shopping will keep the bank manager happy. Although you live for the moment in terms of trends, try to restrain yourself from all of them and opt only for your favorite few.
